SDSI is located in the Netherlands, near to several renowned yacht and interior builders. Since 1997, we have provided a wide range of services to luxury shipyards, interior outfitters, designers, naval architects, brokers, and yacht owners. Our expertise covers classic and modern sailing and motor yachts ranging from 40 to over 100 meters.

 

From early-stage drawings to complete production packages, the SDSI team delivers high-quality drawings and extensive support throughout the interior engineering process.

History of SDSI – super yacht interior engineers

Van Dongen SDSI was established in 1997 by founder Erik van Dongen. The name SDSI stands for Support, Design, Styling, and Illustration. Erik, who has a background in naval architecture, began his career at Hoek Design in the early 1990s. Inspired by his experiences in the industry he decided to create his own approach.

 

SDSI’s first assignment was a multidisciplinary project that included sail plans, engine systems, deck arrangements, rigging configurations, and interior designs.

 

Over the years, SDSI has evolved to specialize in superyacht interior engineering. Today, we are a full-service interior yacht engineering studio with a dedicated team of professionals committed to excellence in every aspect of our work.
